When thinking and ruminating over things that have happened in our past, we often get caught up thinking about “why,” “what if,” and “if only.” You get it. But after thinking to yourself and talking to friends, family and even professionals, there comes the time to LET IT GO. Finding ways to do this isn’t always easy though.
Being angry, sad, or frustrated is normal but it’s important to be able to reach a point where you can except the fact that if you’ve tried. You’ve tried to understand and you’ve allowed yourself to cry, grieve and be upset. You tried to ask for forgiveness, or if you need to, to forgive someone. You’ve tried following your heart and your beliefs system. You’ve tried to forgive yourself and let it be known that you’ve done all you can do.
But if you’re still holding the words and thoughts that haunt you, drain and keep you from sleeping you’re likely not experiencing life to it’s fullest. I find that letting go of these unwanted thoughts, is like separating the garbage from the recycling. You’re ridding your mind of all that is cluttering it so there is room for the beautiful truth and creative ideas flow in. Ready to get rid of the rubbish?
THEN IT’S TIME FOR POSITIVE WORDS, PRAYER, LOVING, KIND THOUGHTS, JOURNALING, LISTENING TO MUSIC THAT UPLIFTS YOU, AND CREATING A POSITIVE, HAPPY ENVIRONMENT THAT YOU WILL ALLOW YOU TO FEEL YOUR HIGHER SELF.
Create a space where you can bath in better energy. Meditation, walking , yoga, anything that lifts you up can help. If they make you happy, music, incense and candles will help create a place of peace – your own sanctuary. Creating this beautiful, serene space in the world will help you to create this space in your mind.
These changes don’t always work instantly, and it takes some practice, but it’s healing energy is truly real and very helpful if you take the time to experience it. The truth is, in this space, you aren’t alone and you’re always being helped, loved, embraced and cared for by the power that is always their for you. The energy is the higher power and it’s their to help and to free you from the exhausting thoughts and feelings you’re having a difficult time releasing.
